BIOGRAPHY
Morjane Ténéré is a singer-songwriter inspired by folk and blues music.
She has performed more than 300 concerts across Europe, captivating audiences with a voice capable of moving them to tears.
She wears the name “Ténéré” as a talisman. In Tamasheq, a Tuareg language, “Ténéré” means desert.
Morjane’s songs explore our connection to humanity, nature, animals, ancestors, and all the forces that make us both small and immense.
Her music blurs the boundary between the intimate and the universal, guiding listeners into a world both urgent and ancient.
EP - BIRTH
“Sitting somewhere between Aldous Harding and Aurora in terms of vocal playfulness, with a glorious traditional folk ilk, ‘Higher’ is an instantly captivating mantra of self-actualisation and intuitive thinking”
In 2019, Morjane wrote a song every day for 100 days. She has now written over 800 songs. She recorded four of them to bring to life Birth, her first opus.
